Dolla is based at the University of Melbourne (UM) where she is in charge of "takin' care of business". Dolla manages finance, reporting and general miracle working for the Environmental Decisions Hub at UM.
Pauline works in her quiet and patient way to assist Dolla in the Environmental Decisions Hub at the University of Melbourne. We understand she performs all administrative miracles required!
Heather is the Office Manager at the University of Queensland, which is the administering organisation for the Environmental Decisons Hub. This means she has to wrangle information into submission for not only UQ but often for all the nodes, to help Dr Alvin van Niekerk. She does this whilst answering a thousand questions (all different to those Melisa deals with) and remaining cheerful and sane. Luckily she too is good at her job!
Melanie has recently joined us as Chief Operating Officer. We will be sharing her complete profile soon...
Melisa is the Executive Assistant to Professor Hugh Possingham and Melanie King. Melisa has the almost impossible task of knowing everything that Hugh IS doing and IS SUPPOSED to be doing, whilst answering a thousand questions a day, smiling and looking stunning all at once. Fortunately for us, she almost always succeeds!
Caroline is a Research Officer in the Centre for Environmental Economics and Policy at the University of Western Australia. Caroline helps in many ways to keep the Environmental Decison Hub WA node running smoothly, including by collating and forwarding the necessary financial and KPI info relating to the UWA projects.
Matt is the super-nerdy powerhouse behind Marxan. Although Marxan was originally designed by Dr Ian Ball & Prof. Hugh Possingham, Matt has been working on improvements and modifications for the last 6 years, so knows it inside-out.
The Marxan software is the most widely used software in conservation planning around the world. It provides decision support for the design of reserve systems, so keeping it up-to-date to meet continually changing conservation decision science requirments is a super important task that Matt loves!
